In my spare time
When I am not working, I may be found hiking or camping with the Boy Scouts. I spent the past 15+ years involved with scout troops my three sons have been a part of, serving as Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster. I am proud that two of my three sons are Eagle Scouts, with the youngest son awaiting approval to achieve the rank. Over the past 10 years, I lead scouts and leaders through high adventure treks in the Adirondacks and to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. A hobby of mine is collecting and working on old cars, and have been working with my son, Tim, to refurbish his 1965 Corvair. My next project will be to refurbish my 1956 GMC pick-up truck I purchased a few years ago from a truck ranch in Texas.
Community work
I had the opportunity to volunteer my time and expertise to benefit the Women's Association Morristown Medical Center Mansion in May designer showhouse events in 2010 and 2012. Working with interior designer Curren Design Associates on both projects and with Robert Rybski on the kitchen project, our work was on display for the month of May. All proceeds directly benefit Morristown Medical Center.
