Underneath the Waterfall
Writing
If I had known as a child that there was such a career as a lexicographer, I would have signed up immediately, because I love words. To jumble, mix, stir, and shake words around, to explore their meaning and origin, is one of my favorite indugences.
Hiking
My favorite time to hike is in the autumn and winter seasons. The Pinnacle on the Appalachin Trail is increcible!
Cycling
As an avid cyclist, I live and breath to be in the saddle. My greatest distance accomplishment is a century, 100 miles in a day, in bike speak.
Nature Photography
With camera in hand while hiking, my attention is always drawn to what lies on the forest floor. The tiniest of fern, the softest of moss, or the crackle of frost on a rock stop me in my tracks to capture the scene for future enjoyment. When I do raise my eyes, the leafless tree canopy made stark in silhoulete by the winter sun's rays, or the peak of a far ridge illuminated in sunset keeps me returning for an ever changing nature slideshow.
